Well, another holiday has come and passed. (thank goodness) We had a mellow, kid oriented holiday since daddy is gone this year. He, unfortunately, was gone last year.. I think the girls think thats normal... anyways here are some video's of our morning. It was over in about 3 minutes!

Carmens New Photo's

And last but not least I finally unloaded a full 500 pictures off of Carmens camera. Most she took herself, a few are Rosemary's doing. Either way they are fun. There are a few so they are loaded onto picasa also... enjoy!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow..

For the last couple of days its been snowing off and on. With the highs in the low twenties it continues to stay with us and accumulate. At this moment, it has started to snow, sideways, and the temp outside is a whole 6 degrees!!! Its supposed to be 40 by Wed. that will be a heat wave!

I took the girls out to play in it and took some pictures last night. You can find them on the picasa photo album here

I also took some video of the girls running around, and you can see it here...

Bedroom Shuffle

At the beginning of October we ordered a bunkbed system for the girls. Delay after delay pushed our delivery date back. In my frustration I moved Rose into the toddler bed, knowing that she would only be in it for weeks (hopefully). Of course the day after I set it up I get the call that they finally are going to deliver the bunk beds. Oh well.

So Rose did really well with switching from her crib to the "big girl bed". She enjoyed the freedom it afforded, even if Carmen wasnt sure what to think of Rosemary getting into her face as soon as they were up in the morning.

Finally the beds arrived on the 15th. Thank goodness. It took the delivery guys over two hours to set it up.. yeah I dont know why either... but its set up and the girls love it.

I loaded a bunch of pictures onto picasa, so you can check them out here.

I also took a video of the girls playing on it, so here's that link

December Fun

Alright so the begining of December brings us right up to Carmens Birthday, its hard to believe but she turned 5!!! I didnt take any pictures, oops, only video's so you can see what we were up to anyways.

I decorated, well as much as I was willing to invest this year. We dont have a Christmas tree, and getting a real one out here seemed rather daunting. So I decided to make my own. I ended up wrapping our camera tripod with garland, then lights and bows. It isnt strong enough for 90% of my ornaments... but the girls believe its a tree, and I did it for them.

Oops

I just realised I havent updated this in over a month... and I have alot to update, so I will try to catch up everyone as best I can.
First off, Jim deployed to Iraq middle of November. We were sad to see him go again, and its been an emotional rollercoaster since he left. But we are trying to trudge forward best we can. We took these the morning he left.

Thanksgiving was mellow, I made tv dinners (heehee) for the girls and I. They went to bed early and I watched old movies.

To make being away from daddy easier on the girls I made "daddy bears"...get it, instead of teddy, its daddy? anyways. The girls seem to like them. I made them large and slightly flat so they can be used as pillows if so desired. I also put some of Jims cologne inside the belly so when they hug it, it smells like daddy.

here are two videos of the girls playing with the bears.
